Stanislav Shevchenko (RUS)

Mr Shevchenko started playing Volleyball in his hometown of Elista, before pursuing his career in the sport playing for the teams of Taganrog, Rostov and CSKA Moscow – as well as of Ziraat Bankasi Ankara, Belogorie Belgorod and Dinamo Moscow. He was a member of the Russian national team that participated in the 1994 edition of the FIVB World League as well as in the FIVB World Championship held that same year in Greece. He is a four-time Russian national champion and cup winner as well.
After retiring from competitive sport, he worked for Dinamo Moscow and joined the Russian Volleyball Federation in 2005, first as a General Director, then as First Vice-President before assuming the presidency in 2010. Shevchenko is a member of the Executive Committee of the Russian Olympic Committee and a Member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Sports of Russia. Moreover, he has been a CEV BoA member and Vice-President since 2015 and a member of the FIVB Board of Administration and Executive Committee since 2008 and 2014, respectively.
