Armenian Youth Championship returns after 10-year break

The 2021 edition of the Armenian Youth Volleyball Championship named after Khachik Asmaryan, an Honoured Master of Sport and former President of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA), started in Yerevan on May 18.
Khachik Asmaryan was the President of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia between 2003 and 2010 and he coached women’s teams for many years in the Caucasus country.
After not holding the youth championship for as long as 10 years, the competition has finally returned and the VFA has decided to name it after Asmaryan.
The championship features five and six teams in the girls’ and boys’ divisions, respectively. The grand opening ceremony of the championship will take place on May 19 at 15:30 at the Dinamo sports hall in Yerevan.
